Our organization’s founder, Chyrie Skipwith, knows first-hand the hardships families experience because for nearly six years she's had to raise her two school age daughters while her husband was serving time in a federal prison. When their oldest daughter was preparing to attend college, it became clear that there were not a lot of services available to support families in this situation. That truly resonated with Chyrie because she had a similar experience during her childhood and that’s when she decided to launch Break the Cycle, Inc.
